Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg strawberries, fresh
  • 2 vanilla pods
  • 30 g peppercorns, green, pickled
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 1 kg gelling sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 25 minutes

The best jam I’ve ever eaten!

Hull the strawberries and cut them into small pieces, possibly coarsely pureeing them. Split the vanilla pods and scrape out the seeds. Add the peppercorns and lemon juice. Mix everything well with the preserving sugar and let it steep, covered, for 3-4 hours. Then bring to a boil while stirring and simmer for 4 minutes. Pour the jam into prepared jars while still hot and seal them immediately.
