Strawberry jam

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg strawberries
  • 1 lemon(s)
  • 1 packet of gelling sugar (3:1)

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

makes about 8 glasses

First, clean the strawberries and remove the green parts. Then place them in a large pot (the jam will boil quickly). Squeeze the lemon and add the juice to the pot, along with the gelling sugar. Now simply puree everything with a hand blender (if you like, you can leave some or all of the fruit uncut). Get the jars and ladle ready. Slowly bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly. Let it boil for at least 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Now, as quickly as possible, fill the jars with the jam, screw on the lids, and immediately turn them upside down! The number of servings depends on the size of the jars. Preparation time is also difficult to estimate, as much depends on the quality and cleanliness of the strawberries. So take your time. Jam needs time and love.
