Strawberry jam with Amaretto

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1,000 g strawberries
  • 500 g gelling sugar 2:1
  • 100 ml lemon juice
  • 60 ml Amaretto

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 minutes; Total time approx. 34 minutes

Pour water into a large pot and bring to a boil, then boil the jars and lids for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, wash and slice the strawberries, then place them in a pot with the lemon juice and Amaretto. First, mash the strawberries with the liquid, e.g., using a potato masher, and only then puree with a hand blender to prevent excessive splashing. Puree until the strawberries are completely crushed. Add the gelling sugar, mix well, bring to a boil, and simmer for about 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Pour the jam into the boiled jars. Immediately seal them with twist-off lids. Then let it cool at room temperature. If stored in a cool, dark place, the jam will keep unopened for several years.
