Strawberry lemonade

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 0.35 liters of water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 0.35 liters of freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 8 large lemons)
  • 2 handfuls of strawberries, fresh
  • 1 liter of tonic water or carbonated mineral water

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 2 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 42 minutes

Lemonade with a twist

Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a small saucepan and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Then let the syrup cool. Meanwhile, squeeze the lemons, clean the strawberries, and cut them in half. Once the syrup has cooled, place the syrup, lemon juice, and strawberries in a blender and blend well, but not too briefly. Then pour everything into a large container and let stand in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours. Just before serving, add the chilled tonic water and stir. Serve the lemonade in large glasses with ice cubes.
