Strawberry-Mango Compote with Vanilla

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 1 mango(s), chopped
  • 500 ml orange juice
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla flavor

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Mix the pudding mix with 2-3 tablespoons of sugar and 5-6 tablespoons of orange juice. Bring the strawberries and mango pieces to a boil in the remaining orange juice with the sugar and simmer for about 5 minutes. Then remove everything from the heat and roughly mash the fruit with a potato masher. Add the mixed pudding mix to the fruit, stirring constantly, and bring to a boil again briefly. Then pour into a bowl (or in small portions into small bowls) and let cool. Serve best with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream.
