Marinated strawberries

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g strawberries
  • 1 tbsp cane sugar
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • mint

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Vinegar fragrant

Wash the strawberries, preferably under a shower, remove the stems, and let them dry on kitchen paper. Place them in a bowl; halve or quarter any larger strawberries. Sprinkle with brown sugar and drizzle with balsamic vinegar. Make sure all the strawberries are coated, mixing gently if necessary. Cover and let stand at room temperature for about 1 hour. Divide into two portions and garnish with mint leaves. Always make sure to use the best balsamic vinegar for this recipe!
