Streusel Apple Sheet Cake

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg apples
  • 100 ml lemon juice
  • 75 g sugar
  • 100 ml water
  • 300 g flour
  • 150 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 25 g ground almonds
  • 175 g butter
  • 175 g sugar
  • 1 vanilla sugar
  • 200 g butter
  • 4 eggs (grade 3)
  • 75 g sour cream
  • 375 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • Grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 35 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

Peel, quarter, and core the apples. Cut the quarters into pieces. Simmer with the lemon juice, 100 ml water, 75 g sugar, and the apple pieces for about 15 minutes, then let cool. Knead 300 g flour, 150 g sugar, 1 sachet of vanilla sugar, almonds, and 175 g fat into crumbles. Beat the remaining fat, vanilla sugar, and sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time and stir in the sour cream. Mix the remaining flour and baking powder and stir in. Spread the batter onto a greased baking sheet, spread the apple compote on top, and sprinkle the crumbles over the top. Bake in a preheated oven (electric oven 200 °C / fan 175 °C / gas mark 3) for 35-40 minutes.
