  • 500 g flour
  • ⅛ liter milk
  • 1 cube of yeast
  • 125 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 80 g butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes

Pear casserole

Peel the fresh pears and remove the cores. Then boil until soft and let cool (no need for pre-cooked pears). Mix the yeast with 1 tablespoon of sugar in a cup. Put the remaining sugar in a bowl with the flour and salt and beat with the eggs. Heat the milk and butter until lukewarm and add. Now beat the yeast into the dough. Keep warm and let rise for about 30 minutes. Line a baking dish with thin slices of bacon on the bottom and sides. Layer the cooked pears on top of the bacon slices. Pour the yeast dough, beaten well again, over the dough and let rise for another 20 minutes. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 60-70 minutes. Serve with the pear juice thickened with cornstarch as a sauce.
