Stuffed 'cockroaches'

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 dates, fresh
  • 200 g cream cheese
  • 75 g honey, thin
  • some lemon juice, to taste
  • 1 stalk(s) licorice, large
  • some honey, for garnishing

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

scary-sweet for Halloween

Cut the dates lengthwise and remove the pits, but don’t cut all the way through. Mix the cream cheese with honey until smooth. Season with lemon juice. Fill the dates with the cream cheese mixture, allowing it to ooze slightly. Now cut the licorice stick into very fine strips and insert it into the front of the cream cheese mixture as an antenna. Arrange on a plate and drizzle with honey. Decorate with a few plastic spiders, if desired, and your Halloween feast is ready.
