Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 sheets of puff pastry (approx. 300 g)
  • 100 g onion(s) (shell onions, jar)
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 150 g minced meat, mixed
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tbsp milk

Preheat oven to 200°C. Drain the pearl onions, then dice them finely. Heat oil in a pan and fry the minced meat until crumbly. Add the pearl onions and season generously with salt, pepper, and paprika. Roll out the pastry sheets slightly thinner, then halve and divide each square diagonally into two triangles. Place some of the minced meat filling on each triangle. Roll from the wide side to the tip. Shape into croissants and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Mix the egg yolk and milk and brush the croissants with the filling. Bake in the oven at 200°C for approx. 15-20 minutes. Serve the croissants hot or cold.
