Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly ground
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • Oil, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Bifteki with feta

Knead all ingredients together, including the breadcrumbs. Then form meatballs and press a cube of feta cheese into the center. Seal tightly so the cheese doesn’t leak out during frying. Fry the meatballs well on all sides until cooked through. The meatballs can also be served as finger food. Break the feta into small pieces and either press them into the center of the meatballs as described above or mix them directly into the minced meat mixture. Serve with a Greek salad, rice, or roasted potatoes with thyme.
