Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 flatbread(s)
- 400 g minced beef
- 1 roll, stale OR:
- Breadcrumbs, appropriate amount
- 300 ml milk, approx.
- 2 eggs
- 2 onions
- 250 g cheese, e.g. Emmental, Edam or Gouda, grated or in pieces
- salt and pepper
- Paprika powder
- Chili flakes (Pul Biber)

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes
also good to prepare for possible parties, tastes very good cold too
Cut the bread roll into pieces, pour over the milk, and let it swell. Alternatively, you can use breadcrumbs, pour over the milk, and let it swell. The bread roll may absorb more milk…in this case, add a little more; it should be thoroughly saturated with milk. The 300 ml is an estimate. Once the bread roll has absorbed the milk, add the ground beef, eggs, finely chopped onions, cheese, and seasonings and mix well. Tip: You can also add a finely chopped bell pepper to the ground beef mixture; it tastes delicious! Cut the flatbread in half horizontally and remove the “lid.” Spread the bottom of the flatbread evenly with the ground beef mixture and bake in the oven at 200°C for about 45 minutes. Only bake the “lid” of the flatbread for the last 5 minutes; otherwise, it will become too dark and hard.
