Stuffed giant mushrooms

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 20 m.-large mushrooms (giant mushrooms)
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 100 g ham, cooked
  • 1 tbsp clarified butter
  • 2 tbsp parsley, heaped
  • 100 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 4 tbsp crème fraîche
  • Salt
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Clean the mushrooms. Twist out the stems and finely chop. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Dice the cooked ham and fry in the hot lard. Add the chopped mushroom stems, onion, garlic, and parsley and sauté over medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from the heat and let cool. Then stir in half of the cheese and the crème fraîche and season the stuffing with salt and pepper. Place the mushroom caps in a greased baking dish and fill with the stuffing. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for about 10 minutes.
