Stuffed mushrooms with minced meat

Ingredients for 5 servings:

  • 10 large mushrooms
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 large egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 1 stale roll
  • 1 large onion(s), finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • n. B. herbs (frozen)
  • 2 tsp mustard, hot
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 handful of cheese, grated, possibly more

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Take 500g of minced meat, a day-old roll, an egg, onion and garlic, crème fraîche, mustard, and herbs, mix everything together to form a meat batter, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Then, take the 10 mushrooms, remove the stems and browned gills, and fill the heads with the minced meat batter. Place the stuffed mushrooms in a casserole dish (you can also use a deep baking sheet), sprinkle with a little cheese, and then simply bake the whole thing at 200°C (top/bottom heat, fan oven: 180°C) for about 20-25 minutes. Serve with fried potatoes, baguette, and/or salad.
