Stuffed tomatoes with feta cheese

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 small tomatoes
  • 100 g sheep’s cheese, feta cheese or mozzarella
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • ½ tsp oregano, dried
  • ½ tsp basil, dried
  • some pepper, black

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the tomatoes. Cut a top off each one. Scoop out the flesh with a teaspoon and drain the flesh in a sieve. If desired, coarsely chop it and place it in a bowl. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Crumble the feta cheese and add it to the flesh, mixing both together. Peel the garlic and press it through a press. Add it to the feta cheese mixture along with the oregano, basil, and pepper and mix well. Fill the hollowed-out tomatoes with this mixture and place the cut-off tops on top. Place the stuffed tomatoes in an ovenproof dish. Bake in the middle of the oven for about 20 minutes.
