Stuffed tortillas with chicken

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 400 g chicken strips
  • 125 g bacon
  • 250 g mushrooms, fresh or frozen
  • 1 bell pepper(s)
  • 1 can of corn (285 g)
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 200 g cheese, grated
  • 6 large tortillas
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 100 ml chili sauce, sweet
  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • some fat (butter-flavored frying cream)
  • e.g. Paprika powder, hot

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

First, season the chicken with paprika powder, then sear it with the bacon. Reduce the heat to low and add the honey and about 50 ml of soy sauce. Be careful, the honey burns easily. Crush the garlic and add it to the pan. When the meat is cooked, add the fresh or frozen mushrooms, the chopped bell peppers, and the corn. Pour the sweet chili sauce, the remaining soy sauce, and a little buttered cooking cream over everything and let it simmer for a few minutes. Finally, stir in a chopped onion. Now fill the tortillas with everything, adding a little cheese so that the tortillas are still easy to roll. If there is any leftover filling, simply spread it over the tortillas later. Place the tortillas in a baking dish or, if desired, directly onto an ovenproof plate. If desired, spread the remaining filling on top, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for 15 minutes at 200°C (convection oven).
