Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 4 large pork or turkey schnitzels
- 2 bunch spring onions
- 1 feta cheese
- 2 large tomatoes
- Fresh herbs (oregano, parsley, basil)
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes
Lightly fry the schnitzels in a pan on one side only, then top with finely chopped spring onions and herbs. Turn the schnitzels over and season with salt and pepper. Place the sliced tomatoes on top of each schnitzel and finish with the sliced feta. Cover and simmer gently for a good 15 minutes. If you like, you can make a sauce from the resulting liquid (top up with a little broth and add condensed milk). It tastes very good without the sauce, though.
