Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 white bread stick(s), large and wide
  • 4 eggs, hard-boiled
  • 1 pack of cream cheese
  • ½ pack of cream cheese – preparation (brunch peppers)
  • 2 spring onions
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 4 slices of salami
  • 4 slice(s) ham, cooked
  • ½ bell pepper(s), red
  • 1 slice(s) cheese (Gouda)
  • Parsley, chopped
  • Chives, chopped
  • Basil, chopped
  • Lemon balm, chopped
  • Salt
  • paprika

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Snack for guests

Halve the bread crosswise, trim off the ends, and carefully scoop out the crumb with a long knife. Mix the crumb with the egg yolk, cream cheese, and brunch. Add the finely chopped spring onions, parsley, chives, a little basil and lemon balm, the crushed garlic clove, small diced ham and salami, the finely diced bell pepper, and the finely diced Gouda cheese. Finally, mix in the not-too-finely chopped egg white. Season with salt and pepper or a little paprika to taste. Push the filling into the bread on both sides, pressing firmly. Wrap in aluminum foil and refrigerate for several hours (or overnight). Slice to serve. Tastes great with wine or beer. Ideal as a small snack for guests.
