Styrian radish salad

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 radish(s) (beer radish)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ lemon(s), the juice or some vinegar
  • Salt

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Rest time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Goes well with Styrian root meat, pork, barbecue

Coarsely grate the radish and season with salt. Cover and let stand for about 10 minutes. Add the juice of half a lemon (or a little less) or a capful of vinegar and the sour cream, and mix well. The cream replaces the oil. This recipe was originally made with “winter radishes.” You can also use 2-3 bunches of radishes. This will give the salad a pinkish color. It’s always a favorite at barbecues.
