Styrian-style cabbage noodles

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 small head of white cabbage (white cabbage), stalk removed, cut into pieces like the noodles
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp crackling lard
  • salt and pepper
  • 150 g bacon, cut into strips
  • Pasta (Fleckerl, square-shaped pasta)
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour

Lightly fry the onions in the lard. Briefly fry the garlic. Add the cabbage and sauté everything with a little water for about 15 minutes. Fry the bacon in a little oil until translucent. Cook the pork noodles in salted water until al dente, then drain, add to the cabbage, and stir. Then stir in the bacon. Season the cabbage noodles with salt and pepper.
