Sweet pastries made from quark dough …… delicious
Using the dough hook on a hand mixer, make a dough with all ingredients except the sugar. With wet hands, form the dough into walnut-sized balls and chill for 10-15 minutes. Line a baking tray with baking paper and preheat the oven to 180°C. Place the sugar in a deep dish. Press one side of each dough ball flat in the sugar to form a circle. Fold it over once, with the sugar side inwards. Dip the resulting semicircle into the sugar from one side and fold it again, with the sugar inwards. Press it into the sugar once more. Place the triangles on the baking tray, sugar side up. Leave space between the balls, as they will rise quite a bit in the oven. Bake at 180°C for about 10 minutes, until the balls are golden brown but not too dark.
