yeast pastries

First, warm the cup of milk to lukewarm and pour it into a bowl. Add 4 tablespoons of sugar, 2 packets of vanilla sugar, and a pinch of salt and mix together. Crumble the yeast cube into the milk and mix until smooth. First stir in a little of the flour, then stir in the egg. Now add the soft margarine and mix. Finally, knead in the remaining flour. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 1 cm and cut out circles using a round shape (drinking glass or similar). Cut out another small circle from the center of the cut-out dough circles (e.g. using a medicine tube or other tube). Place the dough pieces on a prepared baking sheet, cover, and let rise for about 1-2 hours. Bring the oil to a boil. Fry the pretzels in batches on both sides until golden yellow to brown. Then immediately roll them lightly in a mixture of sugar and vanilla sugar and let cool.
