Carinthian pastries made from yeast dough
Mix the flour, 30g of sugar, and salt. Dissolve the yeast in the milk, add it to the flour along with the melted butter, and knead into a smooth dough. Knead until it bubbles, then let it rise for at least 45 minutes. Grease baking tins 10 to 12cm in diameter and 8cm high, which taper slightly towards the bottom, well with butter and sprinkle with plenty of sugar. Divide the yeast dough into two pieces, roll each piece out 1/2cm thin, fill with cinnamon sugar, and roll up. Cut off 8cm wide filled pieces and place in the tins. Let it rise again and bake in the oven at 180°C for 20 minutes. Remove from the tins immediately.
