Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 1 point dry yeast
- 3 tbsp water, lukewarm
- 250 g wheat flour
- 1 tsp, leveled salt
- 25 g butter or margarine
- 125 ml buttermilk
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
quickly made in the morning, also for freezing
Mix yeast with water and set aside (I then weigh the other ingredients; the yeast is fine until then). Mix together 200g of plain flour, salt, butter or margarine, and the buttermilk, then add the yeast. Add enough flour until the dough pulls away from the bowl. Roll the dough into a rope and cut into 12 pieces. Form them into balls and let them rise on a baking sheet for 15 minutes. Then bake the rolls at 200°C for 20 minutes on the lowest rack. They taste great with jam.
