Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 7 dates, dried, depending on size
  • 1 small piece(s) of ginger
  • 1 small garlic clove(s)
  • 1 tsp curry paste, yellow
  • 1 lime(s)
  • 1 tsp sesame, black
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tbsp forest honey
  • 20 ml cream
  • 3 packs of creamy shepherd’s cheese
  • 200 g mild shepherd’s cheese

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

vegetarian dip

Finely dice the dates, grate the ginger, peel and press the garlic. Place the dates in a mixing bowl along with the curry paste, lime juice, sesame seeds, turmeric, honey, and cream. Drain the creamy feta cheese and add it. Mix everything together with a hand mixer. Crumble the firm feta cheese and fold it into the mixture. Ladle the cream into ceramic bowls and garnish with black sesame seeds, if desired. Tip: The sultan dip is delicious with bread, but also with raw vegetables or as a dip for an oriental couscous dish.
