Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 1 baguette(s) (baking baguette)
- 400 g cocktail tomatoes
- 1 bell pepper(s), yellow
- 200 g mozzarella, grated
- 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- ½ tsp basil, dried
- ½ tsp oregano, dried
- ½ tsp marjoram, dried
- ½ lemon(s), juice
- olive oil
- 1 garlic clove(s), chopped, optional
- Salt and pepper, black
- Paprika powder, hot
- Balsamic cream, dark
- some basil leaves
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Cut the baguette in half crosswise and drizzle both halves with olive oil. Preheat the oven and bake the baguette halves according to the instructions. Usually at 180°C fan-assisted oven or 200°C conventional oven. Halve the tomatoes and dice the yellow bell pepper. In a bowl, mix the vegetables with herbs, a dash of olive oil, the juice of half a lemon, and garlic, if desired. Season the mixture with salt, pepper, and paprika. Once the bread is baked, spread the grated mozzarella on both halves and top with the tomato and bell pepper mixture. Season everything with salt and pepper again, if desired. Drizzle a few drops of the dark balsamic vinegar over the top. Decorate the baguette with basil leaves and enjoy.
