Baked sauerkraut baguette

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • ½ baguette(s)
  • 120 g sauerkraut, from a can or jar
  • 100 g apples
  • 80 g onion(s)
  • 80 g mountain cheese, grated
  • 1 egg(s), size M
  • 100 g sour cream
  • 2 tbsp horseradish from the jar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp chives or parsley
  • Salt and pepper, freshly ground

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Squeeze the sauerkraut thoroughly and chop it up a bit if necessary. Thinly slice the onion and dice the apple. Mix both with the sauerkraut and cheese. Combine the sour cream with the egg, horseradish, honey, parsley, or chives, and stir into the cabbage. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and crosswise, top with the sauerkraut mixture, and bake in the oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for about 15 minutes.
