Ingredients for 12 servings:
- 1 pack of dough (rolls) from the refrigerated counter, for 6 pieces
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 ball of mozzarella
- n. B. Pesto
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes
from ready-made bread dough
Preheat oven to 180°C. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella. Divide the rolls into 12 portions. Flatten or stretch them slightly and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread some pesto on each “mini pizza,” then top with tomato and mozzarella. Season with salt and pepper if desired. Place in the oven and bake according to the package instructions. This “recipe” came about because I needed to use up the cheese and tomatoes, and I happened to have a pack of rolls in the fridge. The result was amazingly delicious. You can, of course, top these pizzas as you like, just like any other pizza. They’re also perfect for buffets, parties, children’s birthdays, or as a snack for a DVD night.
