Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 400 g flour
- 125 g butter
- 125 g sugar
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 egg(s), (size M)
- ⅛ liter milk
- 750 g apples (crumbly variety)
- 75 g sugar
- 50 g raisins
- ½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Prepare a smooth shortcrust pastry from the ingredients. Let it rest in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. Peel and coarsely grate the apples. Fold the sugar, cinnamon, and raisins into the apple mixture. Roll out the shortcrust pastry on a floured work surface into a rectangle about the thickness of a knife’s back. Spread the mixed apple mixture over the dough and roll the dough up. Press the overhanging pastry edge firmly and brush the surface with a little milk. Place the apple roll on a well-greased or parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (center rack) for about 45 minutes. After baking, you can cover the hot roll with rum icing (about 125g icing sugar mixed with about 1 tbsp rum until smooth) or dust it with icing sugar once it has cooled.
