Swede stew with smoked pork

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 200 g swede(s)
  • 250 g potatoes
  • 2 small spring onions
  • 300 g smoked pork with bone
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 350 ml beef broth
  • 30 ml soy sauce
  • 3 slice(s) ginger, very finely sliced, from the bulb
  • salt and pepper
  • some parsley
  • possibly herbs of Provence

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Peel the turnips and potatoes, slice them, and cut the cleaned spring onions into thin rings. Remove the meat from the bones and dice finely. Then sauté the turnips, potatoes, and onions in hot oil in a non-stick pan. Add the soy sauce and broth, along with the smoked pork bones. Cover the pan and let it simmer for 15 minutes. Then remove the bones and add the finely sliced ​​ginger and the smoked pork instead, and cook for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, and if you like, add some Herbes de Provence. Stir in the previously chopped parsley and serve. Recommendation: A glass of Pilsner would go well with this!
