Delicious side dish to hearty meat dishes

Peel and grate the swede, e.g., julienne it in a food processor. Melt the butter in a large pan or roasting pan and sauté the vegetables over high heat for 5-7 minutes. Stir frequently so they brown slightly but don’t turn brown. Season generously with salt and pepper, stir in a little stock powder and the cream, and reduce the heat. Simmer with the lid on for about 5 minutes until tender but still slightly crisp. This makes a great side dish to many hearty meat dishes.
