Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 4 eggs
  • 175 g sugar
  • 125 g butter
  • 125 ml milk, 1.5% fat
  • 300 g flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder, level
  • 6 apples, aromatic, cut into wedges
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 50 g sugar
  • 75 g almonds, chopped or flakes

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Combine the eggs and sugar in a bowl and beat until frothy. Briefly bring the butter and milk together in a saucepan to a boil, let it cool, and then add it to the egg mixture. Lightly fold in the flour and baking powder. Don’t overmix, or the batter will lose its airiness! Pour the batter into a greased roasting pan and top with the apple slices. Then mix the cinnamon, sugar, and almonds and sprinkle over the apples. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (400°F) on the middle rack for about 30 minutes.
