Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 250 g powdered sugar, sifted
- 2 eggs
- 1 tbsp cherry brandy or hot water
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- ½ tsp cardamom, ground
- 275 g flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- Flour for the work surface
Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes
Beat the eggs and kirsch or hot water on high for 1 minute until frothy. Mix the powdered sugar and vanilla sugar, sprinkle in for 1 minute, and then beat for another 2 minutes. Then stir in the cardamom. Mix the flour and baking powder and stir just enough of the flour mixture into the egg mixture to form a thick paste. Knead in the remaining flour mixture on a floured surface. Roll out the dough to about 7 mm thick and cut out stars with a diameter of about 5 cm. Place the stars on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and let them dry uncovered at room temperature overnight. Bake in a preheated oven at 140°C for about 30 minutes.
