Sweet and spicy chili sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 red bell pepper(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 6 chili peppers
  • 250 g sugar, preferably cane sugar
  • 125 ml vinegar, neutral (e.g. rice vinegar)
  • 500 ml water

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Wash the bell peppers, remove the seeds and stems, and cut into pieces. Peel the garlic and chop roughly. Remove the stems from the chilies, then chop roughly. Blend everything together. Bring water, vinegar, and sugar to a boil in a large pot. Add the bell pepper mixture and reduce by about half. Pour the sauce into hot, rinsed jars and seal tightly. This makes about 1 large jam jar.
