Sweet Brussels sprouts

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 10 Brussels sprouts
  • 30 g butter
  • 75 ml water
  • 1 tbsp honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

simple and vegetarian

Clean the Brussels sprouts, i.e. cut off the stalks and remove the outer leaves. Then halve the florets so they can absorb as much flavor as possible. Briefly bring the Brussels sprouts to a boil in a saucepan with butter and vegetable stock and simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Remove the lid after 3 minutes and ensure that as much liquid as possible has evaporated towards the end. If this happens before then, add a little more stock. Conversely, if the Brussels sprouts are becoming soft and there is too much liquid, skim off the excess liquid. Then add the honey and fry the Brussels sprouts lightly for about 5 minutes at a higher heat until they turn brown.
