Sweet Malt Bread
The perfect sweet malt bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Flour (Type 550)
- 100 g Butter
- 1 pinch Salt
- 250 g Milk
- 100 g Sugar
- 4 tsp Nestlé Caro Coffee
- 0,5 cube Yeast
- Some milk or cream for brushing
- Put the flour, butter and salt in a bowl.
- Heat the milk with the sugar and the malt coffee in the microwave, lukewarm. Dissolve the yeast in the malt-sugar-milk and add to the other ingredients in the bowl. Process everything into a dough and let rise, covered, for 45 minutes.
- Knead the dough again and shape into a loaf, brush with milk or cream and let rise for another 45 minutes. Only make a cut before the bread is in the oven.
- Preheat the Bach oven to 175 and bake for 45 minutes
