Sweet Malt Bread

The perfect sweet malt bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 500 g Flour (Type 550)
  • 100 g Butter
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 250 g Milk
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 4 tsp Nestlé Caro Coffee
  • 0,5 cube Yeast
  • Some milk or cream for brushing
  1. Put the flour, butter and salt in a bowl.
  2. Heat the milk with the sugar and the malt coffee in the microwave, lukewarm. Dissolve the yeast in the malt-sugar-milk and add to the other ingredients in the bowl. Process everything into a dough and let rise, covered, for 45 minutes.
  3. Knead the dough again and shape into a loaf, brush with milk or cream and let rise for another 45 minutes. Only make a cut before the bread is in the oven.
  4. Preheat the Bach oven to 175 and bake for 45 minutes
