Sweet melon and carrot juice

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ small melon(s) (Galia melon)
  • 3 medium-sized carrots, organic (approx. 300g)
  • 1 medium-sized organic apple (approx. 200g)
  • ½ tsp oil (linseed oil)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

freshly squeezed juice from the juicer

Wash the apple and carrots with the peel, dry thoroughly, and remove any green parts and cores. Remove the melon flesh from the skin. Juice the carrots and apple with the peel on the juicer setting (hard fruit/vegetables). Juice the melon flesh on the juicer setting (soft fruit/vegetables). Mix the juice with the linseed oil and enjoy immediately or store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator (1 to 2 days maximum). If the juice is a bit too sweet for you, or if you prefer to keep it in the refrigerator, you can add an additional tablespoon of lemon juice. In my juicer, the specified amounts are sufficient for about 400 ml of juice. Note: The linseed oil is necessary so that the body can absorb the fat-soluble beta-carotene (provitamin A) from the carrots.
