for the juicer, tastes best freshly squeezed
I always start with the juicer and keep two bowls, one for the peels and one for the fruit pieces, as well as a carafe and drinking glasses handy. First, I peel the carrots, cut them into small pieces, and place them in one of the two bowls, then put the peels in the other bowl. I wash the apples thoroughly, quarter them, remove the cores, stalks, and stems, and also cut them into small pieces. Then I add the apple pieces to the carrot slices. I peel the bananas, remove the strings, and cut them into small cubes, which I add to the other fruit pieces. I also peel the oranges, remove the bitter white pith, and add the individual orange pieces to the other fruit pieces. I peel the ginger with a vegetable peeler, finely grate it with a vegetable grater, and add the grated mixture to the carafe. Using the long handle of a wooden spoon, I mix it with the oil and mineral water. I then add the entire vegetable and fruit mixture, in portions, to the juicer and place a small plastic bowl in front of the juicer’s chute. I then pour the portions one at a time into the bowl and add each portion to the carafe, where I gently mix them with the ginger using the long handle of a wooden spoon. Once the juice has completely drained, I can serve and enjoy.
