Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g macaroni or other tubular pasta
  • 4 eggs
  • 60 g butter
  • 200 g sugar
  • 500 g quark
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 lemon(s), zest and juice
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 10 minutes

Cook the pasta “al dente” and cut into smaller pieces. Separate the eggs. Mix the egg yolks, lemon juice, and lemon zest with the sugar, butter, quark, and cornstarch. Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold into the quark mixture. In a greased dish, combine the pasta and the quark mixture and bake the casserole at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 45 minutes. Applesauce, for example, goes well with this dish.
