Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g flour
  • 230 ml milk, lukewarm
  • 2 pinches of saffron
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 30 g yeast, fresh
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp cardamom, ground
  • 50 g butter, soft
  • 75 g raisins, can also be omitted
  • 1 egg(s) or yolk for brushing
  • Flour , for editing
  • some granulated sugar, for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

with a special touch of saffron and cardamom!

Put the flour in a bowl. Add the cardamom, salt, and butter to the flour. Stir the yeast, sugar, and saffron into the lukewarm milk. Add the yeast, sugar, and milk to the flour and knead into a dough on a floured surface (about 5 minutes). Let the dough rise in a floured bowl for at least 30 minutes. Add the raisins to the dough and knead again. Form between 9 and 12 rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Let rise for another 30 minutes, about 1.
