Vegan cinnamon bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 650 g flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 60 g margarine
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • ½ cube of yeast
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 250 ml water, lukewarm
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 100 g sugar, mixed with cinnamon
  • Oil, neutral

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 3 hours 35 minutes

Mix 100 ml of water with the yeast. Melt the margarine in 150 ml of water; the mixture should be just lukewarm. Knead all ingredients into a soft yeast dough and let it rise for about 2 hours. Then roll the dough into a rectangle, brush with neutral oil, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up tightly, starting at the short end, and place the roll in a loaf pan. Let it rise for another 30 minutes. Then bake for 35 minutes at 180°C (convection oven). Delicious on its own or with jam for breakfast, brunch, or coffee.
