Sweet semolina strudel

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • ½ liter of milk
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50 g butter
  • 200 g semolina
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 3 egg whites
  • 250 ml cream
  • 100 g powdered sugar (icing sugar)
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 50 g almond(s), grated
  • 1 pack of puff pastry
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 shot of milk
  • Sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Bring the milk, salt, and butter to a boil, then add the semolina and cook, stirring constantly. Then let it cool and alternately stir in the egg yolks and cream. Beat the egg whites with the sugar until stiff and fold in. Spread the rolled-out puff pastry with the semolina filling, sprinkle with raisins and almonds, roll it into a strudel, and bake in a greased baking pan at 170°C for about 40 minutes. Brush generously with the sweetened egg mixture every now and then. Once cooled, sprinkle with sugar.
