Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2 cups semolina
  • 1 ½ cups flour
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup(s) desiccated coconut
  • 125 g margarine, melted
  • 60 ml milk
  • 3 drops of butter vanilla flavoring or bitter almond flavoring
  • 1 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 cup(s) water
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ lemon(s) (juice)

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

drizzled with homemade honey

Mix semolina, flour, sugar, baking powder, desiccated coconut, and vanilla extract in a bowl. Then add the melted margarine and milk. Mix well; you can also do this by hand. Don’t be alarmed; the dough will be quite crumbly. Grease a baking dish, pour the dough into it, and press it down firmly with the palm of your hand. Bake in the oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 20-30 minutes. You’ll need to keep an eye on it until the top is golden yellow. Now for the homemade honey: Put the sugar, water, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a saucepan and simmer gently over very low heat for about 30 minutes. Don’t worry, the honey won’t thicken. Now you can take the baking dish out of the oven and pour the honey over it. I tell you, it tastes great and everyone will love it.
