  • 140 g butter, cold
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 tsp, heaped vanilla sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Shortcrust pastry in a slightly different way, makes about 25 biscuits

Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl, then add the sugar, vanilla sugar, egg, and cubed butter. Mix everything with a mixer or food processor until a smooth dough forms. Divide the dough in half and color one half. Now refrigerate the dough for at least an hour. Briefly knead the dough portions and roll each out between sheets of baking paper to a thickness of about 1 cm. Then place the two sheets of dough on top of each other and use a knife to cut the dough into a rectangle. Now roll the dough into a log and cut into slices about 2 cm thick. If desired, you can roll the log in colorful sprinkles before cutting. The cookies are then baked in the oven at 160 °C for 10 minutes.
