Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 300 g flour
- 100 g butter
- 125 g sugar
- ½ pack of baking powder
- 1 egg(s)
- 75 g almonds, chopped
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon powder
- 1 tsp, leveled clove powder
- 25 ml milk
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 40 minutes
Melt the butter and sugar in a saucepan and stir in the cocoa, cinnamon, and cloves, then let cool. Combine the flour, baking powder, and egg in a bowl and mix. Toast the chopped almonds in a pan. Now add everything to the bowl and knead well. Add enough milk to form a soft, easily pliable dough (carefully; 2-3 tablespoons are usually enough). Form the dough into two sausages (approx. 3 cm wide, 4 cm high) and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 20-25 minutes. Remove from the oven and immediately cut into 1-2 cm thick slices. This will flatten the sausage slightly, ideally giving it a round shape. It’s okay if the edges break off a little when cutting and the inside may still be moist. The slices should cool for 1 hour. If you like them crispy, simply let them air dry. For everyone else, it’s better to wrap them up.
