Sylt dressing: ingredients

In addition to a whisk, measuring cup, bowl, and kitchen scales, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 150 grams of yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream or crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp medium hot or hot mustard
  • 4 tablespoons walnut oil or grapeseed oil
  • 1 onion
  • sugar
  • white wine vinegar
  • 1 heaped tsp dill
  • 1 heaped tsp parsley (flat)
  • pepper
  • Salt

preparation

The dressing tastes particularly good with salads but is also suitable as a sauce for fish or meat dishes.

  1. Clean the herbs briefly with lukewarm water and then let them dry.
  2. Peel the onion and then cut it into small cubes.
  3. Mix the yogurt, sour cream, and remaining ingredients in a bowl and whip up the sauce.
  4. Then season to taste with vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  5. If the sauce is too thick for you, you can thin the dressing with a little milk.
