We prefer to use ready-made tarte flambée bases. If you prefer, you can of course make the dough yourself. Spread the base with crème fraîche and add a little salt and pepper. Cut the feta cheese into small, fine cubes and place on top. Slice the peppers into small pieces and the onions into thin rings. Halve the cherry tomatoes. Spread everything on top of the tarte flambée. If you like, add some olives. Finally, sprinkle some grated Emmental cheese over the tarte flambée. Bake in the preheated oven on the highest setting for about 10 minutes; place the baking tray on the lowest rack. Be sure to keep an eye on the tarte flambée. Sometimes it goes very quickly. For the main meal, the two of us each eat a tarte flambée, as the dough isn’t very thick.
