Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Finger food
Spread the puff pastry on a work surface and spread with the herb cream cheese. Divide the puff pastry horizontally in half to create two long, narrow strips that are as equal in width as possible. Finely chop the onion. Sprinkle one of the two puff pastry halves with bacon, diced onion, and some grated cheese. Place the second pastry half, cream cheese side down, over the top of the filled half and press down lightly. Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough vertically into strips about two fingers wide. Twist each strip a few times and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Brush the strips with a little water and bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes according to the package instructions for the puff pastry. When the sticks are golden brown, remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
