Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 orange(s), the juice
  • 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 20 ml sherry

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Henry’s US version

Juice the oranges. Peel the onion and garlic, chop very finely, and fry in sesame oil. Add grated ginger and honey (or brown sugar instead) and deglaze with sherry. Stir in the orange juice and soy sauce and simmer until reduced to the desired thickness. Strain through a sieve if necessary.
