Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 2,600 g minced meat, mixed
  • 2 onions
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • 600 g cheese (sandwich)
  • 4 packs of bacon
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 small head of lettuce
  • 1 onion(s)
  • ½ jar pickles (vinegar party)
  • 1 flatbread(s)

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

For the patties, season the ground beef with plenty of salt and pepper and toss with two diced onions. Divide the mixture into two 1.3 kg burger patties and place them on a baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. There shouldn’t be any exposed edges, otherwise you’ll have a huge mess. To achieve a nice shape, you can use a cake pan. Briefly fry the bacon in a pan so it’s not completely crispy. For the topping, slice the third onion, wash the lettuce and tomatoes, and shape them into a usable shape. The bread can be warmed up shortly before baking. Now the two patties go in the oven at 200°C (convection oven) for 60 minutes. Turn the meat over after 30 minutes. Then top the burgers as desired and add your choice of sauce.
